Mrs. Wilder was a member of Bear Swamp Baptist Church and was an employee of Our Community Hospital in Scotland Neck as a Lab Tech for many years. She was a loving wife, sister and aunt.
She was born October 10, 1941, to the late Burt Edward Butts and Mildred Wood Butts, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Burt Butts.
She is survived by her husband, Jackie Wilder; her sister: Sue Butts Tidrick and her husband, Gary, of Roanoke Rapids; three nephews: William Sparks and his wife, Kelly, and Sean Tidrick of Roanoke Rapids, and Bobby Tidrick and his wife, Julie, of Wakefield, N. C. and her niece, Kaye Jackson and husband, Doug, of Prospect, Virginia.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Bear Swamp Baptist Church at 2 P.M. conducted by Rev. Howard Guidry and Rev. Charles Wilson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 5, from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service which is handling the arrangements, and other times at 549 Old Halifax Road.
