On Sunday morning, May 27, 2012 Steven Clemens Engel passed on into eternal life.

Born in New Ulm, MN on May 29, 1948, he was preceded in death by his parents Doris Gens Engel and Clemens William Engel. He is honored by his fiancee Pat Fleckner, brother Richard (Lise'), twin sister Susan Schwichtenberg (Dwight), sister Wendy Truhler, sister Sharon Engel, nieces and nephews Julie, Andy, Kim, Will and Christopher, children Andrea, Nathan and Allen and grandchildren Neveah, Sophia Grace and Aliya.

Steve spent his childhood in New Ulm, Mankato, St. Cloud and up north at the lakes, graduating from Tech High School in 1966. He joined the army shortly thereafter.

As Specialist 5th Class in the First Cavalry Division, he served two tours of duty in Viet Nam.

Upon returning to MN he worked as a computer programmer, carpenter, business manager and real estate investor. Most recently he enjoyed fishing on Pine Island, FL and Pine Mountain Lake, MN.
