Married Margaret E. Halnan, 7 Dec 1864, Boston, MA. She was the daughter of Thomas and Ann Halnan. The marriage registration shows both Adolphus and Margaret were born in Boston, MA and were married by Rev. R. W. Brady of Boston.

ADOLPHUS G. BAILEY, a retired coffee [and tea] merchant of Manhattan and a charter member of the old Brooklyn Union League Club, died on Wednesday at his home, 74 Hancock Street, Brooklyn, in his 8th year. Mrs. Bailey was born in Duxbury, Mass., and had lived in Brooklyn for half a century. His late residence was 74 Hancock St., Brooklyn.
