Obituary of Savila Alleyne Adams :
Savila Alleyne Adams, 70, of 211 E. North St. Colchester died at 2:04 p.m. September 27, 1996 in her home.
Mrs. Adams was born April 16, 1926 in Macomb to Orville O. Depoy and Gladys L. Kitch. She married William S. Adams May 8, 1962 in Macomb. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1988.
Mrs. Adams is also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Michael Todd Adams and two brothers, Bernard Depoy and Gene Depoy.
She is survived by two sons, James P. Adams of Colchester, and step son, William S. Adams Jr. of Coal Valley, two daughters, Mrs. Lana K. Booth of Colchester and step daughter Sue Longville of Atkenson, one brother, Orville Leo Depoy of Macomb and three sisters, Helen Swigart of Indiana, Darlene Parkins of Colchester, and Barbara Jackson of Colchester. Mrs. Adams is survived by two grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and attended the Colchester First Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Jones Mortuary with the Rev. Randy Miller officiating.
Vistation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Jones Mortuary.
The burial will take place at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester.
Memorials may be made to the Colchester First Baptist Church.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Saturday until the time of services.
