DIDIER, John J. "Jack" 84 of Harrison Township passed away Thursday June 18, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Eva Didier. Jack is survived by his wife Marjorie Didier, of 65 years; daughters Jacklyn Deger, Kathlyn Vavroch, Mary Lou Kyle, Christene Pluger, and Ann Didier; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother Jerry Didier; sisters Joan Huber and Janet Hockenberry; numerous other family and friends. He was a veteran in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Corridor. Jack was a charter member of the American Legion Post 746 and VFW 6560. He was assistant chief of Harrison Township Fire Dept. and retired from Dayton Press. He volunteered frequently for his parish and community. Jack was an avid fisherman. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00AM Wednesday June 24, 2009 at Queen of Martyrs, 4144 Cedar Ridge Rd. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday June 23, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Burial will follow funeral Mass at Riverside Cemetery in West Milton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
