Bessie Anglin Beard, 78, of Nashville, died Sunday, Jan. 26, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson.

Mrs. Beard was a homemaker and a member of the Eastland Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Walter S. Beard of Nashville; one son, Mack Beard of Mount Juliet; two daughters, Mildred Smith of Hendersonville and Ruth Manor of Bon Aqua; two brothers, Delton Anglin of Columbia and William Anglin of the Garrison Community; five sisters, Pearl Hunter of Primm Springs, Edith Griggs of Columbia, Versie Pierce of Memphis, Evelyn Beard of Franklin and Gracie Lynn of Franklin; 11 grand-children and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Franklin Memorial Chapel with Dorris Billingsley officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
