Bernard lived in NYC til after Karen finished Bayside High School in about 1962. They relocated to Tucson,Az. Bernard had a keen sense of humor and was a very meticulous person. He often cracked jokes about his small pension that he received from the New York Times. He enjoyed collecting old coins. Words seemed to be a great fascination with him.
