Charles was the son of Jean B. and Marie M. (Busque) Rancourt.

Charles married Louise Pepin 14 Oct 1823 in Quebec, Canada. Charles and Louise had 8 children. Their children were Peter (1826-1912), Suzanne (1828-1907), Charles (1830- ), Levi (1832-1881), Paul (1836-1917), Vital (1838- ), Augustus (1840-1920) and Sarah (1846- ).

***It is believed that the family changed the spelling of their last name from Rancourt to Ronco when they immigrated to American in abt 1848 and Charles died in the 1870's in Dexter ME.
