William Rothmann April 22, 1893
Wm. Rothmann, one of the early settlers of the town of Calumet died on Sunday last after an illness of two weeks. The deceased was born in Germany in 1824 and came to this country, locating in Calumet in 1848. He has always been an industrious, hard working man and was respected in the community in which he resided. The announcement of his death was such a severe shock to his daughter, Mrs. Jacob Reis, that she died on Monday, April 17. Mrs. Sophia Reis was born in the town of Calumet in 1850 and has made her home there ever since. The deaths are a sad blow to the bereft relatives and the citizens in the neighborhood in which both resided. Both funerals occurred on Wednesday. Wm Rothmann was a cousin of Wm Rothmann and Mrs. Wm Dorschel of this city.
