Obituary.
Died near Clyde at her home Sunday Jan. 15th, Nellie R. Grubb, beloved wife of Jacob Grubb. Nellie R. Brixey was born in Douglas county, Missouri, Aug. 13, 1886. She was married to Jacob Grubb, Oct. 2, 1907. She leaves a husband, two children, father, mother, three sisters and two brothers to mourn her loss. She gave her heart to God Oct. 15, 1902. Her last words were, "Be ye also ready for in such an hour as ye know not the son of man cometh." Yes our dear Nellie has gone from us and as we stand beside the coffin that contained all that was mortal of our loved one we could not but exclaim how unsearchable is his judgment and his ways past finding out. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and a true Christian, quiet and unassuming in her manner. Her life pervaded with the spirit of the master that by her Christian example she won all hearts. To know her was to love her and those that knew her best love her most. WHen she knew she would die she was not afraid to cross the dark river. The funeral services were conducted from the house by Rev. Whicker, pastor of the Baptist church. The remains were laid to rest in the McKeeman cemetery.
