George Allen Stricken

George Allen, a well known citizen of the southeastern part of Daviess County, was stricken Thursday afternoon with paralysis and it is believed at this time that his life is in danger.

Mr. Allen was on the road near Montgomery when stricken, on his way to Cornettsville where he intended to make a home for his family. Attention was given at Montgomery and the stricken was returned to his former home.

The left side of the body, including the brain is affected and for a time it was believed that death was but the matter of minutes. Allen is well known in Washington and a brother, John Allen lives in this city.

George Allen Dead

George Allen of Reeve township a brother of John Allen of this city, is dead of paralysis. Mr. Allen was on the road from Reeve township to Cornettsville when he was stricken. His widow and seven children survive him. He was buried in Oak Grove cemetery, Reeve township.
He was married on January 26, 1896 in Daviess County, Indiana to Sarah Rebecca Arney.
