An obituary for Mrs. Dallas, [Rose L. Amlin], of Litchfield, formerly of Stewardson and Shelbyville, states that she had died Monday [February 23, 1976] in the St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. Mrs. Yakey was born in Shelbyville, December 3, 1893, the daughter of A. D. and Mary Carnes Amlin. She married Dallas Yakey in 1915 and he had died in 1962. Surviving were daughters, Wilna Fearn of Litchfield, Gene Davies of Kansas City, MO; a nephew, Gayle Lichtenwalter of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Four brothers and four sisters had preceded her in death.
