Mary was first married to George Neblett, possibly in Humphreys County, TN. He is buried in the Neblett Cemetery, Humphreys County. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Ferguson and Elizabeth Stribling. See her will for names of her children by George Neblett. Her second marriage was to Stephen Forrester whose first wife had died, in Humphreys County, TN on January 15,1882. Stephen and Mary had three sons, Esron Boyd, George Monroe, and Alen Fowler. Stephen and Mary were living in Obion County after their marriage. Stephen had two brothers that moved to Obion County from Hickman County and thus this may have modivated him to move there, expecially after his mother, Winney died.

Mary evidently is buried in the Neblett Cemetery, Humphreys County, TN near her first husband, George Neblett, and an infant child. Mary preceded Stephen in death by two years. He perhaps arranged at her request to have her buried by her first husband, George Neblett. There is a marker for her in the Neblett Cemetery.
