Joseph Konash Sr., a resident of Milladore, Wood County for 65 years, died Thursday morning at 2:15 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs Charles Feit a mile and a half west of Milladore. Mr Feit is a nephew of Mr. Konash. The latter suffered a stroke the day before his death. He had been totally blind for the last 10 years. Mr. Konash was born in Bohemia on April 2, 1850. Mr. Konash came to the United States when he was 17 years old, locating in Wood County a year later. His marriage to Miss Julia Bretl took place at Manitowoc. His wife the former Miss Julia Bretl, died 28 years ago. For the past seven years, Mr. Konash has resided at the Charles Feit home. The body will lie in state at the Feit home.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Joseph and Frank Konash and Mrs Joseph (Anna) Pelner of Milladore, James Konash of Brokaw, Conrad Konash of Nekoosa, Mrs. Matt (Mary) Blumer of Monroe, Mrs Adolph (Julia) Simmet of South Gate, California, and Edward Konash of Wisconsin Rapids, Joseph and Frank of Milladore.
He is also survived by a sister, Mrs Dora Wotruba of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, 21 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A sister, Mrs. Steve ( Mary) Feit preceded him in death 11 years ago.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at St. Wenceslaus' church at Milladore. Rev. Joseph Gaffney will officiate and burial
will take place in the parish cemetery. The body is at the Charles Feit home
