William Henry Johnson, 837 Phillips Street died at the residence at 1:45 O'clock on Wednesday morning after an illness of three weeks. He was 81 years of age, father of Wesley Andrew Johnson of Johnson Reynolds and Ferguson.
The funeral will be at Asbury Methodist Church this morning at ten o'clock, Rev. W.W. Watkins officiating. Interment will be in the Rhodes Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife Mrs. Elizabeth W. Johnson, one son, Wesley Andrew Johnson, two granddaughters, Mrs. Evans Minor, Miss Annie Lou Johnson and one great grandchild, Frances LLewellyn Beckum.
Pallbearer at the funeral will be J.M.Seigler, W.C. Brown, J.J. Ferguson, W.W. Peterson, P.B. Hall amd A. A. Womack.
Mr. Johnson was a former Confederate Solider and a member of Camp 435. J.C.V
