CORINNA - Marion E. Packard, 82, died June 3, 1995, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1912, at Corinna, the daughter of Wilbur and Nina (Dow) Eastman. She graduated from Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1931. She was employed at Holbrook's Dry Goods for more than 40 years and later at a Porter's Drugstore, R.A. Crossman Auction Barn, and Pearson's Hardware, all of Corinna. She attended Corinna United Methodist Church. Marion was an active member of Corinna Union Academy Alumna Association and Corinna Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her first husband, Olin E. Holbrook in 1961. On Sept. 14, 1968, she married Irving L. Packard, also of Corinna. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and his wife, Morris and Bonnie Holbrook of Corinna; one sister, Lillian McPike of Corinna; two grandchildren, Todd Holbrook of Northeast Harbor and Mrs. Timothy (Kristina) Lancaster of Pittsfield. At her request, there will be no visiting hours. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Corinna United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Nutter Cemetery, Corinna. Donations may be made in her memory to the Corinna United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the Corinna Union Academy Alumni Association. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, Corinna.
