Faye Eudora Anderson Hawks of St. George, Utah passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 27, 2012. She was 90 years old. She was born August 9, 1921, in Syracuse, UT, to Arthur Raymond and Mary Alice Hill Anderson. Faye was raised in Syracuse, UT, with her siblings; Raymond, Wayne, Mary and Joseph. She married Norman Hawks in the Salt Lake Temple on March 31, 1942. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Her passion was Temple Work and Family History. She loved scouting and helped many young men achieve their Eagle Scout Award. Faye also enjoyed crocheting afghans and making quilts, giving hundreds away. Her service to the St. George Senior Citizen's Center was an important part of her life. She loved to travel with her family, visiting over 50 countries. Faye was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and taught primary for over 50 years. She worked as a clerk/typist at Hill Air Force Base for 30 years. She lived in Clearfield, UT, Middleton, ID, Huntsville, UT and St. George, UT.

She is survived by her: children, Darlene (Robert) Kuck of Syracuse, David (Jenny) Hawks of South Ogden, Terry (Diana) Hawks of St. George, Monty (April) Hawks of St. George, Douglas (Judy) Hawks of West Valley and Rick (Karla) Hawks of North Ogden. She was preceded in death by her: parents; husband; brothers Raymond and Wayne Anderson; daughter-in-law Maureen Brewer; son-in-law Robert Kuck; and great grandsons' Isaac Hawks, Kade Allred and Axel Hawks.

Her testimony of Jesus Christ is an inspiration to her 6 children, 28 grandchildren, 101 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the St. George 12th Ward Chapel 449 S. 300 E., St. George, UT. A viewing will be held from ll:30 to 12:30 prior to the service. A second viewing will be held Monday, June 4, 2012, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., at the LDS Maplewood Ward, 1660 W. 2228 S., Syracuse, UT. Interment will follow at the Syracuse City Cemetery.
