George Henry Hammond I was born to John and Mary (Seaman) Hammond on January 3, 1861. Soon after the Hammonds relocated to Charlevoix County, Michigan where George spent most of his life. He met Mary E. Boyer and the couple married on March 20, 1894. George and Martha had 4 children; George, Beulah, Lewis and Leland. George passed away on July 7, 1956 from cancer.
