BOWLING, DOROTHY HARRIS
Dorothy Harris Bowling went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2007, at 10:30 p.m., fifteen years after her husband of 50 years, Clarence Bowling passed away. Dorothy was born January 2, 1922 in Hartford, Tennessee to the late Debbie Laws Harris and David Manning Harris. Dorothy had a longstanding career with the Tennessee Valley Authority, retiring in 1987, after working there 41 years. She was a member of Cumberland Baptist Church for 45 years. She was preceded in death by sister, Nora Harris, and two brothers, Oscar Harris and Homer Harris. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Kay Bowling Cashman, and Deborah Bowling Nieto, and her son, David Clarence Bowling; her three grandchildren; Christopher Wayne Heaton, Sean David Cashman, and Hannah Elizabeth Bowling; her brother, Oran Harris, of White Pine, Tennessee; her son-in-law, W. Skip Cashman, and her daughter-in-law, Margaret Heather Bowling; her sister-in-law, Charline Harris; and many nieces and nephews. We will miss Mom, Mother, Mamaw, Grandma, Dorothy very much. We will see you soon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 7:30 PM, with Dr. Bill Cashion officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM Thursday, July 12, 2007 for a graveside service and at Highland Memorial Cemetery, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, 2829 Rennoc Road, Knoxville, Tennessee
