John M. Acton II ' John Milton Acton II, 67, of Long Beach, N.C., formerly of Danville, died Sunday at University of Louisville Hospital. Born June 9, 1929, in Danville he was a son of the late Carl Bryan and Nell Morrissey Acton. He was a former employee of Shell Oil Company, attended SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was a Korean War Army veteran. ; Survivors include his wife, Lois Massey Acton; four daughters, Emily Everett of Moores Hill, Ind., Linda Nelson of Carmel, Ind., Caroline Matukonis of Palm Coast, Fla., and Jane Stephens of Bardstown; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John Milton Acton III. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Danville Memorial Gardens by thp Rev Richard Sullivan Visitation will be 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.
