Christena P. Staley was born Oct 1805 in Pickaway County, Ohio, one of four known daughters of John/Melchoir Staley and Catherine Gross/Groff. She married Samuel Cady Straw on 21 Sept 1825 in Marion County, Ohio. According to the History of Wyandot County, OH they had eleven children: David 1826; Malachi 1828; Martin Thomas c1831; Samuel 1832; Eunice 1838; "Sallie" May/Sarah Saloma 1839; William 1842. Four other children all died young and are buried in Bowsherville Cemetery with their parents:
