After the War Earl married Emma Mae Leslie (b.1923, d.2007) on June 18 1949 in Grave City, Mercer Co., PA. They lived in town in Grove City, PA until they built their home on Cranberry Road in Grove City in 1954.
Earl first worked for Howes and then later for the Cooper Bessemer Company. Then finally he was hired by the US Post Office in the early 50's. He retired from the USPS in 1986.
Earl and Emma Mae adopted 2 sons.. Ronald Lynn in 1958 and James Bruce 1963. Both sons now reside in Palm Beach Co., Florida.
After Earls retirement from the USPS, he and Emma Mae traveled the United States and made frequent visits to Florida to see their sons.
Earl passed away of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in the Meadville Medical Center just two weeks after his sister, Evelyn Critchlow had died.
Earl was a lifetime member of Harmony Presbyterian Church in Harrisville where he was a Session member for years and also sang in the choir.
Earl's service was conducted by the Rev. Dr. John McElwain of Harmony Presbyterian Church. Now he rests in the Prairie Cemetery by the side of his wife Emma.
