"ISAAC BLOSSER has 20 acres 5 miles north of Woodland, for which he paid $125 an acre 10 years ago. He planted the bare land with almonds and raisin grapes, and since the trees began bearing he has cleared an annual average profit of $1600. Six and a half acres set to almonds netted $1070 last year. Although he is in his 70th year, Mr. Blosser employs no help to attend to his orchards. He has refused $6000 for the property."
