Doy Lee Prunty, Sr., 64, of Baltimore, MD., formerly of Clarksburg, died at 9 a.m. Saturday of a heart attack.
He was born March 3, 1900, in Braxton County, a son of the late Elmore Newton and Emma Jane Kelley Prunty.
Surviving are his wife, Audrey Dawson Prunty; two sons, Elmore Prunty of Ravenswood and Doy Lee Prunty Jr. of Baltimore, Md.; six daughters, Mrs. Mae Boggs, Miss Marie Prunty, Mrs. Nellie Madegan, Mrs. Azalee Reynolds, Mrs. Rhoda Price, and Mrs. Sarah Smith, all of Baltimore, Md.; one brother, Roy Prunty of Braxton County; one sister, Rose Harper of Braxton County; 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Hoy Prunty.
Mr. Prunty was a charter member of the Summit Park Baptist Church.
