Mrs. Mary J. Montgomery, one of the pioneers of Scott County, was buried last Thursday, at the Cravens Cemetery, after funeral services at the Vienna Baptist Church. She was a true woman and mother, kindly, charitable and gentle. All who knew her loved her. Her Christian character could be read in her kindly face. She leaves three sons, John H., William D., and James, and one daughter, Mrs. James Cravens, to mourn her death.
