Lake Odessa - Mr. Cyrus Shellenbarger, 98, of Lake Odessa, died Thursday, July 7, 1977 at the Barry County Medical Care Facility.
Mr. Shellenbarger was born on March 6, 1879 and was the son of Julius and Martha (Curtis) Shellenbarger. He attended Nye school. Mr. Shellenbarger was a farmer and carpenter. He lived in Tucson, Arizona for 22 years and returned to Lake Odessa two years ago.
Mr. Shellenbarger is survived by his wife, Hortence of Tucson, Arizona; three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Alma) Apsey of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Harold (Greta) Prother of Gladwin, and Mrs. Orville (Irene) Babcock of Hastings; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mable Roush of Hastings.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 9, 1977 at 2 P.M. at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. R. Ferguson and Rev. James Dalton officiating. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.
