Isaac H. Stephens, Post Office Milltown, Alabama, was born October 10, 1845, near Hickory Flat in the county of Chambers, in the state of Alabama. First entered the service as Pvt. in the Fall of 1863 at Missionary Ridge, Georgia, in Company "B" and continued until close of war.

"Uncle Horry" Stephens Answers Death's Call.

"Uncle Horry" Stephens, aged 85 years, answered death's call on Monday afternoon at three o'clock following an illness of several weeks at his home near Abanda.
The deceased was one of the best known men in the county, and throughout a long and useful life he had lived in that section. He had been actively identified with the business interests of the county for years and was a leader in his community.
Funeral service was held from the New Hope Church on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. Prather being the officiating minister.
Surviving the deceased are two daughter, Mrs. C. B. Burton, Five Points; Mrs. Joe Elder; four sons, Morgan, Will, Horace and Sam Stephens.
Interment was in the New Hope Cemetery.
