Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Parks Allen and Ollie Peace Moore.
Mr. Moore was a retired electrician. He was a member of Eastlan Baptist Church, where he was involved in the Triple L Club, Sunday School class No. 4, and was a former deacon. He was a volunteer with Meals On Wheels and was also a United States Navy Veteran, having served during World War II.
Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Moore of Fountain Inn, Michael Harley Moore of Honea Path; a stepson, Paul Surratt of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Maddline Spoon and Ruth Griffin both of Union, Ruby Brewington of Clinton; a brother, Frank Allen Moore of Greer; three grandchildren, Tanya Kennedy, Chris Moore, Danny Moore; and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today, March 6, 2005, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 7, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at 406 Bentwood Road, Piedmont.
