Funeral services to celebrate the life of Alma Lee Pahdoco Parks, 91, a Lawton resident since 1938, will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 22 at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, Lawton with Rev. Dr. Janice K. Meese, Associate Pastor of Nichols Hills United Methodist Church officiating.

Mrs. Parks died at home in Lawton on Thursday, December 16, 2010.

A private family entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Alma Lee Fisher was born in Fort Cobb to Lawrence G. Fisher and Mary Susan Cowling Fisher. She attended Fort Cobb schools. She married Jess Albert Pahdoco in Anadarko in 1938. They were married for 53 years. He died in March of 1991 in Lawton after a long fight with cancer and emphysema.

Alma Pahdoco worked for the Lawton Public Schools for 30 years. She started as a cook in the Central Junior High School Cafeteria, transferred to the Lawton High School Cafeteria, was promoted to Eisenhower High Cafeteria manager, and then moved to office clerk at EHS and later was promoted to office manager at Eisenhower High School.

Mrs. Pahdoco married Floyd Parks in November 1991and was blessed to have this second family welcome her into their lives: Wayne and Johnna Parks, Lawton, their three sons and daughter: Floyd E. "Gene" Parks, Todd Wyatt, Mitchell Wyatt and Shana Horton, and their families. Mr. Parks died in 1998.

Mrs. Parks was a member of the First Christian Church for many years and later transferred her membership to the Western Hills Christian Church. During the last three years, she attended First Assembly services at her retirement center.

Mrs. Parks is survived by three daughters and one son: Wanda Pahdoco McDaniel, Palm Coast, Florida; Jo Pahdoco Vickers, Lawton; Linda Pahdoco Elzie, Charleston, South Carolina; Retired Lt. Col. James Albert Pahdoco and wife Linda, Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren: Jay Albert McDaniel, Jacksonville, Florida; Kenneth Hoppe and wife, Jodie Gladin, Cedar Park, Texas; Laura Vickers Harrison and husband Greg, Fort Worth, Texas; Anderson V. Vickers III and wife Marika, Longwood, Florida; Heather Vickers-Meese and husband Nathan Meese, Irving, Texas; Lance Elzie, Charleston, South Carolina; Allison Skye Elzie, Tallahassee, Florida; Jaime Pahdoco Blackshear and husband Danny, Oklahoma City; Kiley Pahdoco Taft and husband Tim; Edmond; ten great grandchildren: Jackson Hugh McDaniel; Quintin Hoppe; Amber, Stephen and Sala Harrison; Private Jennifer Vickers Brady, Iraq and husband Sergeant Sean Brady, Fort Bragg, N.C.; Antonia Vickers and Anderson V. Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her parents, her brother-in-law Ray Champion; her son-in-law Anderson V. Vickers, Jr., her siser-in-law and brother-in-law, Neva and Walt Harrington, her nephew Brad Von Tungeln; her nephew Cortney Champion; a niece, Dana Hicks Schlecht; a great niece Bonny Brady; her husband Jess Pahodoco; her nephew Wayne Von Tungeln; her son-in-law Hugh Caudle McDaniel; her sister Alice Champion Shoemaker Thomas; her husband Floyd Parks; her brother-in-law Bill Thomas; her nephew Charles Harrington; and her three brothers, James Robert Fisher, William Vernon Fisher, and Lawrence Gene Fisher.
