KELLEY - NEWLAND
At the pretty home of Mr. T. D. Newland, on Somerset Avenue, at high noon Wednesday, his daughter, Miss Nancy Brent Newland, and Rev. L. C. Kelly, of Louisville, were made one in a pretty ceremony said by Rev. Ivey, of Maysville, and intimate friend of the groom. The register showed that 50-odd close friends of the contracting parties witnessed the happy event. The bride, who is a handsome brunette and a most charming young woman in every way, was gowned in white mercerized lawn with bridal veil and orange blossoms, and her natural beauty showed to its best advantage. The groom wore the conventional black. Miss Marie Mahony played the wedding march very sweetly. Little Misses Margaret Pettus and Margie Lynn were pretty flower girls. They carried huge boquets of pink and white roses............. Mrs. Kelly was ready for the trip to Louisville where she and the man of her choice will be at home to their friends at 720 Fourth Street. Mr. M. F. Kelly, brother of the groom, and Miss Jennie Newland, sister of the bride, were best man and lady at the happy event and the latter gave her sister away. The bride has spent her entire life here and is loved and admired by all. The groom is editor of the Kentucky Issue, a Louisville publication, and is besides an able preacher.
