Services for Mr. David Barney Crittenden, 49, of Many, were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, 1995, at Oak Hill Baptist Church.
Officiating will be Rev. E. E. Walker, Rev. Joe Ratcliff, Rev. James Tidwell, Rev. Dean Crittenden.
Mr. Crittenden passed away Monday morning, July 24, 1995, at Sabine Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Crittenden was born May 13, 1946, in Many, to Adron Barnie and Shirley Mae Crittenden. He married Peggy Kelly August 30, 1968, at Coldwater Baptist Church in Natchitoches Parish. He received his bachelor degree from Northwestern State University in 1968, and later his masters in 1982. He was a member of the Sabine Parish Chamber of Commerce, the Many Loins Club, Chairman of the Board of Deacons of Oak Hill Baptist Church, La. Vo-Tech Association, Director of the Sabine Valley Technical Institute for 12 years. Prior to that time, he served in other positions with Vo-Tech system.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Peggy Crittenden of Many; two sons, Kelly, and Kasey Crittenden, both of Many; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adron Crittenden of Many; two sisters, Barbara Davis of Greenback, Tenn., and Gayle Crittenden of Many; one brother, Dean Crittenden of Many; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
