Charlie Cleveland Burgett, 69, of Mount Pleasant, L&N Railroad section foreman, died at 2 p.m., January 11, 1960 in the Maury County Hospital, Columbia, TN.

Services will be a 2 p.m. tomorrow at Williams Funeral Home here, the Reverend Joe Good officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, Maury County, TN.

Mr. Burgett was born in Kentucky on November 8, 1890. He moved here in 1933. His parents were the late Jim and Telithy (Brown) Burgett. He was a member of the Baptist church.

He had been employed by L&N Railroad for over 51 years.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Barbara (Anderson) Burgett; two daughters, Mrs. J.C. Kelly, Duck River, TN, and Mrs. Nina Stenson, Franklin, TN: five sons, John Burgett, Fort Smith, AK, Pellie Burgett, Scottsville, KY, Ernest and Frank Burgett, Mount Pleasant, TN, and Claude Burgett of Hawaii; two brothers, Robert Burgett of Columbia, TN and Corbit Burgett, of Franklin, TN; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Myers, Garden City MI, and Mrs. Era Pearson, Chicago, IL; 27 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
