Ted passed away in Garland, TX.
He graduated from San Angelo High School in 1952. He worked in the oilfields of West Texas for a time.
He was employed by Gandy's, Inc. in the San Angelo until he was inducted into the U.S. Army. He served with the XVIII Airborne Corps. As a paratrooper and radio operator at Ft. Bragg, N.C., until May, 1959 when he was honorably discharged in 1963.
He married Judy Henderson of San Angelo in 1960 and they lived there until 1966, when they moved to Garland, TX. He worked for Collins Radio until 1968. He worked for Hewlett-Packard Co. from 1968 until he retired from Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Technologies in 2000, after 32 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Wanda Fitzgerald.
He is survived by wife, Judy; his daughter, Marcy Tull and son-in-law, Doug and his son, Dan Butts and daughter-in-law, Donna of Red Oak, TX. Also survived by granddaughters, Allison Tull, Michelle Tull, Carly Tull, Sara Tull, Danielle Butts and Dallas Butts.
He is also survived by mother-in-law, Vivian Henderson of San Angelo, Texas. Ted is survived and remembered by many friends and neighbors.
Ted was active in the 82nd Airborne Division Association, having served as chairman, secretary and treasurer in the North Texas Chapter. He was also a member of North Texas Oldsmobile Club and Confederate Air Force.
