He served in the Army during the Korean War for two years, and for the Louisa County Rescue Squad for many years. In 1963, he opened Ed's Texaco, in downtown Louisa, Va.,. which later became known as Louisa Boat and Motor Sales and Service. He is survived by his wife and 2 sons and 1 daughter. He was an avid fisherman.
