RITES FOR DR. S HILTON BUKER WILL BE HELD AT LATE HOME SATURDAY AFTERNOON
Dr. S. Hilton Buker, 69,died at his home in Killbuck at 6 a.m. this morning from a lingering illness of Brights disease and complications.
He was born in Otsego, Muskingum county on Feb. 1,1865 a son of the late Decatur and Lucy Buker.
He was educated in the Otsego Schools and was graduated from college in Adrian, Mich. in 1884. In 1885 he took up medicine in Plainfield and in 1887 was graduated from Ohio Medical College, Cincinnati. He began practicing medicine in Spring Mountain, where he lived until 1909 when he move to Killbuck, where he practiced until his death
In 1888 he was united in marriage with Linnie Dawson, Mount Vernon. Four children were born to this union, three who survive.
Mr. Buker was a member of the Christian Church, Killbuck, and was active in the republican party. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge, Coshocton and took the Scottish Rite degree in Columbus: the I.O.O.F Lodge, Killbuck, and the Maccabees, Walhonding.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, E.D. Buker, Killbuck, and Dr. Wallace Buker, Bellville; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Cooper, Killbuck; two brothers, Charles Buker, Otsego O., and Albert Buker, Seattle Washington; one sister, Mrs. J.D. Phillips, Beaver City Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held at the late home Saturday afternoon at 2:30. Burial will be in Killbuck cemetery.
