George H. Sexton of Campbellsville, son of the late Henry Sexton and Lula Ann Denson Sexton was born August 19, 1921 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:50 P.M., Sunday, March 2, 2008 in Campbellsville. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country in the United States Army and was awarded the Purple Heart, the American Theater Ribbon, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Service Stars, and the World War II Victor Medal. He was a retired rural mail carrier and landscaper. He united in marriage to Jean Phillips April 21, 1954. She preceded him in death July 11, 1986. He united in marriage to Jewel Dean Ford November 6, 1993. Besides his wife, Jewel Dean Sexton of Campbellsville he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, three step-sons and their wives, two grandsons, eight step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Keltner and Clara Cox.
