She was born on November 12, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of John and Vera Ilene (Stroud) Guthrie. She married Ronald L. Rainey and he preceded her in death. She worked as a certified nurse assistant for several years. She graduated from Bedford High School class of 1965. She is survived by two daughters, Diatra Allen (Kevin) of Shelbyville, TN and Debora Deaton (Nathan) of Salem, IN; four sisters, Joan King of Noblesville, Mary Hembree of Orleans, Judy Bachman of English, Cathy Ryan of Sellersburg; two brothers, Jim Guthrie of Edinburg and Kent Hawkins of Bedford; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, Gregory Rainey; five brothers, John, Charles, Joe, Wayne and Robert; three sisters, Marjorie, Bernadette and Patsy. Cremation was chosen. Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
