She was also preceded in death by her son, Donald Robert Hill; three brothers, Alby Jones, Lowell Jones and Jack C. Jones; three sisters, Beulah Phillips, Virginia Drake and Velma Gibbs.
She was a native of Henderson County and a member of East Flat Rock First Baptist Church. During World War II, she resided briefly in Tampa, Fla., while her husband was stationed at Drew Field. She was a lifelong homemaker except for a brief period of work with the U. S. Postal Service.
