Austin Taylor "Tex" Dailey age 72 of Greenback, passed away Thursday July 24, 2008 at UT Medical Center.

He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Vonore Historical Museum.

Preceded in death by parents, W.B. and Bess Johnson Dailey; father and mother in law, Roy and Edith Clark; brothers, Dal Creed, Allen, Rex; sisters, Joyce.

Survivors include wife, Nancy Clark Dailey; daughters and sons in law, Tonia Dailey Garner and husband Mike, Micki Dailey Pruitt and husband Larry; adopted daughter, Beverly Reed; grandchildren, Michael Garner, Whitney, Michaela Pruitt; great grandchild, Brayleigh Garner; many special nieces and nephews; brothers, Horton and Wanda Dailey, Marion and Eloise Dailey, Cal Reed Dailey; sisters, Delia and Virgil Garland, Hazel Russell, Ruth and John Wilson, Nona Kirkland, Kathleen Kirkland; sister in law Barbara Cureton, Betty Ruth and Ronnie Agan; brother in law, LeRoy and Judy Clark; step son, Terry Flanagan.

Funeral service 12:00 pm Saturday July 26, 2008 at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Steve Poplin officiating. Interment to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
