1900 Milwaukee census shows Ellen living on 10th Avenue with her son Frank. Ellen gave her birth date as March 1833 on this census. Her death record in 1901 lists her late husband as Frank Clapp of Vermont.
Ellen's brother John Smith Crandall married Cornelia Rawson. John died July 24, 1928 in Chicago. He had been a grains dealer. John Crandall was also buried at Forest Home Cemetery.
