Samuel "Sam" Corum O'Dell's father was from TN and his mother was from KY (names unknown at the present time). His parents moved to MO where Sam was born and raised.

Sam married Maggie Roselle (buried at Citizens) in MO and they had 4 children born there: Maggie, James, John, and Samuel Corum Jr. (buried at Citizens). John moved his family to Fort Gibson, IT, and are listed on the 1900 IT Census. Sam was a farmer.

Sam died in the early 1900's as the 1910 Census shows Maggie as a widow; he and Maggie are buried near a big cedar tree on the Northeast side of the entrance at Citizens, not far from Samuel Corum Jr. and his wife Pairlee.
