Grace Evelyn Rothrock was the second of three known children of Philip Emory Rothrock (1864 - before 1900) and Nancy Eleanor Allred (1871-1937), who married 20 Sep 1885 at Broadbay Township, Forsyth County, North Carolina. It is not known where Philip is buried. After Philip died Nancy remarried to Williams Evans and then George W. Phillips.
Grace married Najib Kaliel (or Khalil?) Rubaiz (1870-1938) on 27 Oct 1909 at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. Grace and Najib were the parents of eight known children, namely:
1. Ruth Estines Rubaiz Galey Gipe (1910-1996)
2. Marie Etta Rubaiz (1912-1919)
3. Mae Josephine Rubaiz Lee (1914-p2011)
4. Asma Edna Rubaiz Calabrese (1916-1996)
