Henry Adams (1922 - 2012)

Henry Adams, 89, a Justin resident, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 27, 2012. Graveside service: 2:30 p.m. Friday in Justin Cemetery on Justin Cemetery Road. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, 305 W. First St., Justin.

Henry was born Sept. 16, 1922, to George and Ethel White in Oakhurst. He proudly served three years in the U.S. Army in Mars Task Force, 124th Cavalry, in the China, Burma and India theater, where he received four Bronze Stars. A devoted husband and father, Henry also loved to raise doves and build things. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Taylor; sister, Delois McDaniel; and grandson, Mark Pitts.

Survivors: His loving wife of 63 years, Peggy; son, James Clinton Adams and wife, Ginger, of Burleson; daughters, Carolyn Pitts and husband, Lloyd, of Rhome, Nancy Adams of Justin, Darlene Faught of Keller, Gaylon Stuebing and husband, Glen, of Flower Mound; sisters, Tinnie Cross of Henderson, Nev., Tina Young of West Lynn, Oregon, eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
