Joseph Eddy was man who loved the virgin forest and moved many times to remain in isolation. He moved to Michigan from Ontario County, New York. He had 600 acres of land at his death. He was a founder of Oakland County, Michigan in 1824 and opened a Cooper shop in the town of Novi.

(Feb2014) New DNA evidence proves that Joseph comes from the Scottish Edie Family not the Kent, England Eddy Family.
