Frank Joseph Braith, 90, passed away March 8, 2010, at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena.

Frank was born Dec. 6, 1919 to John and Martha (Bushinger) Braith in Leaf River Township, Wadena County. He was united in marriage to Lucy Yungbauer on May 28, 1946 at St. Huberts Catholic Church in Bluegrass. He lived his entire life in the Wadena area, with his livelihood in farming and working for the Wadena County Highway Department. His interests were in fishing and gardening (especially potatoes). He enjoyed walking and loved to dance and listen to old time music.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on March 12 at St. Huberts Catholic Church in Bluegrass, with the Rev. Donald Wagner as celebrant. Interment was in the St. Huberts Cemetery in Bluegrass. Honorary pallbearers were all of Franks grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Chad Spencer, James Braith, Greg Hill, Luke Braith, Derek Braith, Nathan Braith, Jake Braith and Dustin Eggers. Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Lucy; sons, Tim (June) of Delano, Minn., Tom (Stephanie) of Delano, Larry (Becky) of Buffalo, Minn., Kevin (Charlene) of Sebeka, Steve (Barb) of Wadena, and Alan of North Branch, Minn.; daughters, Jeanette Hill of Maple Grove, Minn., Marilyn (Rich) Eggers of Maple Plain, Minn., and Elaine (Dave) of Rogers, Minn.; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Agnes Kaufman of Wadena, Mathilda Walimaa of Sebeka, and Angela Boyer of Duluth; sisters-in-law, Marion Braith of Staples and Phyllis Braith of Little Falls; brother-in-law and close friend Norbert Ament; and several nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha; his son David; brothers Henry, John, Albert, Peter, and Hubert; sisters Katherine Moore, Martha Braith, and Theresa Ament.
