Annie Lou Avery Stocks, age 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, May 28, 2012.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. from the Church Street Chapel of the Farmville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery in Farmville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.
Mrs. Stocks was a member of Temperance Hall Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, James Allan Stocks, Jr.
She is survived by one son, James A. Stocks and wife, Kaye, of Knightdale; one brother, James "Buddy" Avery of Farmville; five grandchildren, Debbie Monette and husband, Jerry, of New Bern, Janice Smith and husband, Brendon, of Columbia, SC., Kimm Bruck and husband, Peter, of Summerville, Hope Kile and husband, Bill, of Denver, NC, and Jim Stocks and wife, Kim of Raleigh; thirteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
