Inscription
In memory of
Capt. EPHRAIM CHENERY,
who died June 18th, 1816;
Aged 82 Yrs.
Within this place there is no feat,
The Lamb himself is watchman here;
Where peace abounds for ever more,
And wars and tumults are no more.
