LURA M. CLINE
Former Polson resident Lura M. Cline, 93, died of natural causes Friday, December 14, at Valley View Estates Nursing Home in Hamilton.
She was born February 28, 1897, in Lerna, Illinois to Ara L. and Lottie Miller. The family lived in Illinois and Indiana before moving west - first to Missoula, then to a homestead near Ronan and finally to Polson, where her father owned a furniture store. Educated in Polson, she graduated from high school in 1916 and attended Spokane University for two years.
In 1920 she married Norman Cline. The couple lived in the Polson area until his death in 1987.
Mrs. Cline was employed at Flathead County Bank and Foshay Power Company in Polson.
She was a life member of Polson Christian Church, a member of the PEO Sisterhood and Amicitus Club, and a past member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a sister, Louis Hollingsworth, Hamilton, and several nieces and nephews, including Rick, Lorene and Carol Farrell, all of Polson.
