August Anderson, Father of Eight, Dies at Hospital
August Anderson, 80 years old, a resident of Mundelein for the past 15 years, died Wednesday morning in Condell Memorial hospital where he was taken last Sunday. He was the father of eight children, four of whom reside in this vicinity.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Ray-Burnett funeral home, with the bural at Lakeside cemetery. The Rev. C. Arthur Jevne will officiate.
Mr. Anderson was born in Sweden and came to this country in 1885. He located at Lake Forest, acting as gardener on one of the large estates. About 37 years ago he moved to Libertyville and then to Mundelein where lived in his own home.
Surviving are one son, Alex Anderson of Decatur; and seven daughters, Mrs. John Suydam, Mrs. Hilbert Johnson, both of Libertyville; Mrs. Lawrence Sabala and Mrs. Theodore Browning, both of Mundelein; Mrs. Arthur Johnson and Miss Adeline Anderson, both of Zion; and Mrs. Hilda Beshel of Waukegan.
