Mike was a US Navy Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class with CAP 1-3-3, CACO 1-3, 1ST CAG, COMBINED ACTION, III MAF.
He entered active service on February 27, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri, and started his tour on April 16, 1969. He died from gunfire in combat 12 km east-southeast of Chu Lai airfield in Quang Ngai Province, South Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
He was from Lenexa, Kansas and his name is inscribed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, DC.
